Account management candidates report that IgniteTech uses the CCAT early in hiring. IgniteTech publishes no cutoff, so our estimated range is 27 to 35 out of 50, with 31 as a target. One candidate reports a strong score and a rejection anyway, so the CCAT looks like a gate to get through, not a way to win the job.

Some evidence
A senior account manager candidate on Glassdoor reports the CCAT as an early screen, and reports scoring well and still being rejected. IgniteTech publishes nothing about the test.
Criteria's suggested floor for Sales / Account Executive roles is 19. We add 8 to 12 for a global, largely remote applicant pool, and allow up to 35 because Crossover, reported to recruit for the same ESW Capital group, publishes 35 as its usual baseline.

IgniteTech and the ESW group
IgniteTech is an enterprise software company that sells and supports a portfolio of business software products. It is widely reported to be part of the ESW Capital group, alongside Trilogy and the remote hiring platform Crossover.
If your IgniteTech application came through Crossover, Crossover's CCAT rules apply to you. Its guide says using most third-party CCAT materials counts as cheating and disqualifies an application. Read that guide before you prepare, and follow it.
A good score is a ticket, not an offer
The one detailed report we found is from a senior account manager candidate who says they did well on the CCAT and were rejected anyway. One report is not a pattern, but it fits how most employers use the test: as a screen that decides who gets looked at, not as the deciding factor.
So set a clear target, hit it, and then put your effort into the parts of the process where account managers actually win roles: how you talk about pipeline, renewals and the customers you kept.
Why sales candidates should still drill the math
Account managers live with discounts, renewal uplifts and quota percentages, and the CCAT asks for the same arithmetic without a calculator. Percentages, ratios and quick word problems make up a large share of the math on the test, and they are the fastest points available if you can do them in your head.
The verbal items suit most sales candidates, but analogies can still eat time. Practice saying the relationship between the first pair out loud as one sentence, then testing each option against it.
15% off 540: find 10% (54), half it (27), add (81), subtract (459).
A 2:3 split of 120 items: 5 parts, 24 per part.
No calculator, so friendly numbers and shortcuts matter.
A short plan for an account manager with a CCAT invite
Most account management candidates get the link with little warning. Start with one full 50-question set under a strict 15-minute clock, so you know your starting point and where the minutes go. Then spend your remaining practice time on the two question types that cost you the most, usually percentages and analogies for sales candidates, with a time limit on every question.
On the day, close everything else, use a laptop, and keep a pen and paper nearby if you are allowed them. When a question stalls you, guess and move on. A skipped question you never return to scores the same as a wrong guess, and a right guess scores a point.
Where the CCAT sits in IgniteTech's hiring process
1
Application
Candidates apply for an account management role, sometimes through a remote hiring platform.
2
CCAT screen
The CCAT comes early, before most conversations with the team. 50 questions, 15 minutes, typically taken online at home.
3
Further rounds (typical)
What follows is not well documented. One candidate reports a good CCAT score and still being turned down, so expect other screens or interviews to carry real weight.
Steps are as candidates describe them. Processes change by role and over time.
Tips for the IgniteTech CCAT
Check whether Crossover is running your process. If it is, read Crossover's CCAT guide and follow its rule on prep materials.
Do percentages by finding 10% first. It is faster than multiplying by 0.85 in your head.
Treat the CCAT as a gate. Hit your target, then prepare just as hard for the conversations after it.
Take the test on a laptop in one quiet sitting. Phones make the picture questions slower.
Guess on anything you skip. The score counts correct answers only.
These are our own practice questions, written in the CCAT's formats. IgniteTech does not publish its test questions, and neither does Criteria. For a full timed run, take the free CCAT practice test.
Question 1PercentagesMedium
A jacket costs $540. Its price is reduced by 25%. What is the new price?
A405
B135
C324
D675
E486
Show the answer and the fast route
Answer: A, 405
The discount is 25% of 540, or 135. The new price is 540 − 135 = 405.
The fast route
Find 10% or 1% first. For an original amount, divide by the remaining fraction.
Question 2Word analogiesHarder
WHETSTONE is to SHARPEN as . . .
ASHARPEN is to GRINDSTONE
BBLADE is to WHETSTONE
CKNIFE is to SHARP
DAWL is to PIERCE
ECUTLER is to KNIFE
Show the answer and the fast route
Answer: D, AWL is to PIERCE
A whetstone is a tool used to sharpen; an awl is a tool used to pierce. SHARPEN is to GRINDSTONE reverses the order, and CUTLER is to KNIFE is worker to product.
The fast route
Say the relationship as a short sentence; preserve its direction.
How we estimate
IgniteTech does not publish a CCAT score, so the numbers on this page are our estimate. We start from Criteria's published job-family floors for the roles candidates report, then place them against Criteria's two norm groups, where the median raw score is 24. We adjust for how competitive the applicant pool is, and we use an employer's own published baseline whenever one exists.
Percentiles come from a normal model on Criteria's published median and standard deviations, shown as a range across both groups. See the CCAT percentile chart for the method and what a good CCAT score is for the published job-family floors.

Questions, answered
Does IgniteTech use the CCAT?
A senior account manager candidate on Glassdoor reports the CCAT as an early screen. IgniteTech does not publish its process, so treat it as reported, not confirmed.
What CCAT score does IgniteTech require?
IgniteTech does not publish one. Our estimate is 27 to 35 out of 50, with 31 as a target, based on Criteria's floor for sales roles plus a margin for a global applicant pool.
Can you pass the CCAT and still be rejected?
Yes. One IgniteTech candidate reports scoring well and still being turned down. The CCAT is usually one screen among several.
Is IgniteTech connected to Crossover?
Both are reported to be part of the ESW Capital group. If Crossover runs your application, its CCAT rules apply, including its limits on third-party preparation.
What should an account manager practice for the CCAT?
Percentages and ratios without a calculator, and verbal analogies. Those are quick points for most sales candidates once the method is automatic.
