Work in Play LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Brooklyn, New York, operates Clever Cat Prep. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, create an account, practice, use coaching, or make a purchase.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, a securely hashed password, account identifiers, and account preferences. We do not store your password in plain text.
- Practice and coaching information. Questions you attempt, answers, skips, timing, scores, progress, review history, coaching conversations, and the recommendations and summaries generated from them. We also process practice records you import and information you submit in chat or feedback.
- Voice information. If you enable voice features and grant microphone access, your audio is processed by our voice provider. We save transcripts, answers, feedback, and related session information to support practice history and continuing conversations.
- Purchase information. Purchase amounts, payment status, access dates, discount information, and payment-provider identifiers. Stripe processes payment details; we do not receive or store your full card number or card security code.
- Technical information. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, and error information to deliver and secure the service.
- Support information. Messages and other information you send us when you request help.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; deliver drills, tests, progress tracking, and personalized coaching; process purchases and manage access; send account, password-reset, and purchase emails; respond to support requests; troubleshoot and improve the service; prevent abuse and fraud; and meet legal and accounting obligations.
Practice performance and coaching summaries are learning tools. We do not use them to make hiring or employment decisions.
3. AI, voice, and service providers
We share information needed to provide the service with providers that support hosting, storage, email delivery, payments, and AI. These include Cloudflare for hosting, databases, and email; Stripe for payments; Anthropic for AI coaching and content processing; and OpenAI for voice and related AI features. Google Fonts may receive your IP address and browser information when fonts load.
AI features may send your submitted content, relevant practice history, and conversation context to the applicable provider to generate a response. Voice features send audio to OpenAI when active. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information or uploading material you do not have permission to share. Providers handle information under their applicable terms and privacy policies.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies to keep you signed in and support account and purchase flows. Browser storage also remembers preferences such as your color theme and helps recover practice activity that has not yet been saved. Blocking cookies or clearing storage may affect these features. Payment and hosting providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies.
We do not use advertising trackers. The service does not currently change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
5. Retention and security
We retain account, practice, and coaching information as needed to provide the service, including saved history after paid access expires, unless you delete it or request deletion. We may retain financial records and limited information needed for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, or resolving disputes. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or provider systems under their retention practices.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including password hashing and access controls. No online service or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
6. Your choices and requests
You can manage available account and practice controls in Settings and control microphone permissions through your browser or device. For help accessing, correcting, exporting, or deleting your personal information, email support@clevercatprep.com from your account email address. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Certain records may need to be retained as described above.
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise applicable rights or raise a privacy concern.
7. Children and international use
Clever Cat Prep is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
We operate from the United States. Our providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or our practices change. We will post the updated policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice of material changes where required by law.
